Practicing gratitude not only makes us happier, is makes us healthier!
Try taking a moment in your day to give thanks for what you DO have. You’d be surprised how much comes to you.
It’s hard to stay caught up in that argument with a friend or that difficult situation at work when you’re busy thinking about how good you’ve got it.
Not only could it turn your day around, it can have a big impact on your health too!
Here are some of my favorite benefits of practicing gratitude:
- A five-minute a day gratitude journal can increase your long-term well-being by more than 10 percent.
- Your career can benefit too! Gratitude helps you achieve your career goals, as well as making your workplace a more friendly and enjoyable place to be.
- Stress reliever: Gratitude reduces feelings of envy, makes our memories happier, lets us experience good feelings, and helps us bounce back from stress.
- We’ll be more optimistic as a result! Optimism in turn makes us happier, improves our health, and has been shown to increase lifespan by as much as a few years.
